Fashion Week Mn 2017

Fashion Week Minnesota Edition:

Yassssss!

As you all know, I have begun a new journey to becoming a Fashion Mogul and began to wonder "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING GIRL, YOU ARE IN MINNESOTA, AIN'T NO FASHION SCENE HERE BIH!!" and then it happened! What happened!!? Fashion Week Minnesota! Unfortunately, I was only able to attend two events because of my new work schedule but both events gave me hope!

My fashion Week adventure kicked off with the Culture Piece Magazine show which had a Harlem Renaissance theme.

Crazy story* I planned to attend this event months ago but forgot about it. When I got off work at 4pm that day I saw the notification for it on my phone saying the show would be starting in two hours!!*screams* Then I realized every single ticket was sold out and JUST WHEN I was about to give up and go into a dramatic momentary depression. I decided to check their facebook page to see if anyone had tickets.:-) and they did, I scored 1 free General Admission ticket, which was basically V.I.P because I had a seat where I could reach out and touch all the garments, models and designers if I wanted to.

Back to the Culture Piece show...

This show was created, executed and everything in between by colored people. There were 3 different designers(also colorful), this show was just amazing to see! The entire crew gave me Ebony Fashion Fair vibes!

*(check out my other post "Phase 1 Fashion Mogul to find out more about Ebony Fashion Fair ).

Below is a clip from the show:

The second show I attended was MN4MN Blank Canvas Show which actually featured one of my classmates Gabriella Kalema. And a wonderful designer I met named Raquel Redmond. The show was filled with socially conscious messages, crazy dope African prints, and art that would make your mouth drop! I have no more words but take a look below...
