Olori Swank: The Business Mogul

Olori Swank and I go way back to when I first graduated called in 2014. I found her online while searching for a celebrity stylist because, at the time, I wanted to pursue fashion styling. After doing my research I wanted her to be the girl to teach me since she styled some of the greatest celebrities of that time….Fast forward to 2020 and I’m still following her career and she has become an overall business mogul.

This is an event she had where she hosted about 100 entrepreneurs and taught us a quick lesson on how to start or accelerate your journey as an entrepreneur.

When we got there, we were immediately given a scavenger list.

We made friends.

We were put into groups and told we had 30 mins to create a cool fashion business idea as a team.

Our team won with the creation of the hypothetical company Style Sync, a brand we created to connect stylists to resources needed to make shoots/their careers happen. We created a quick logo, pitch, executive team, and ask price. This activity was mind-blowing. The things you learn in 30 minutes are life-changing.

Also fun fact: She had a contest 3 years ago for people to create a review for her book and post it on YouTube, I created mine. Looking back, my review was subpar but my content idea was phenomenal. Check out the video I created below the photos! It’ll give you a great LOL!
